TDI and RAID Instructor Courses

Completing TDI instructor training courses is both challenging and rewarding. Teaching decompression diving or training future sidemount divers as well as solo divers requires a high skill level. In addition, you also need thorough knowledge of diving theory and equipment configurations.

At Dark Horizon Diving we offer ‘IDC-style’ instructor training. This will suit those who are are ready to hit the ground running. We expect you to have instructor-level skills demonstrations and broad knowledge of the academic parts of the course. If you are not sure your skills are at that level, simply allow more time for build-up and practice.

We normally also offer internship-style training, but have had to suspend this due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

TDI and RAID Crossovers

In December 2021, RAID became the first diver training agency to make professional membership free of charge. We are delighted to offer crossovers to divemasters and instructors from other agencies. Read on below or contact us directly. 

We also offer crossovers to TDI from other agencies. 

All of our instructor level training (except crossovers) includes The Human Diver Essentials class as required pre-learning. The cost of this is already included in your instructor training. 

TDI instructor trainer Yvonne Press has been teaching at this level since 2016. She remains TDI’s only female instructor trainer in South East Asia.
