Our Truk Lagoon brochure has now been uploaded – if you’re keen to know more about our 2021 trip, click here to browse and download it.
What’s stopping you? There are more than 60 WWII wrecks to be discovered here, ranging in depth from 12 to 60+ metres. Because of the depth range of the wrecks, this trip is also open to recreational divers. However, I guarantee that you will be jealous listening to the techies talking about the time they spent on the wrecks. If at all possible, we recommend qualifying as a tech diver before going to Truk.
We’re organising the trip through Lust4Rust‘s Pete Mesley. Pete has years of experience in the area and on the wrecks. Plus, if you are lucky, he may just take you on a tour of one of the wrecks.
More importantly though, Lust4Rust provide an unparalleled level of logistical and medical support. This is especially important as Truk is a remote place. It’s far away from anywhere other than Guam, really.
Another reason for running the trip this way is that it allows us to split divers according to dive plan and experience level. If you plan a 60 minute, no-stop dive you will be on a different boat than CCR divers planning on 2 to 3 hour runtimes. There are between 4 and 6 divers on each boat and only one boat per wreck.
For this trip, we base ourselves at Blue Lagoon Dive Resort. The resort gives you a comfy bed at night, tasty food, room to stretch your legs and unbelievable sunset views. The Truk Lagoon brochure upload has images and more details.
