Why Consider Technical Diving?
Are you ready to take your diving to the next level? Technical diving involves sharpening your diving skills, learning more about the science behind diving, trying new equipment, including CCR rebreathers. It opens up a whole new underwater world.
If you’re keen to find out more about getting into technical diving, you’ve come to the right place. Follow the link to learn more about twinsets / doubles and sidemount configuration – and so much more. Or read about reasons to join an Intro to Tech course!
Technical diving training can be tough, but the rewards are endless. As a tech diver, you will discover underwater worlds that few, if any divers ever see. You get to spend more time at depth and will explore further on dive sites you may already know.
You may also find that technical diving is a gateway to an entire new diving mindset. To learn more about how human factors influence decisions underwater, take a look at The Human Diver Essentials class.
What's there to see?
Our tech diving TDI and RAID courses, Sidemount training and dives are mostly run on the reefs and wrecks of the Amed and Tulamben areas of Bali, but we can make arrangements for diving further afield. In fact, over the past few months our team has actively been looking to extend the range of dive sites we visit. You could be one of the first divers joining us on those.
Bali’s north east has all the ingredients for a great technical diving destination. Training here means you get to explore world-class coral reefs directly from the shore. Some of our deeper, longer dives are done by boat with short transfer times back to base. The reefs stretch from the shore to below 100 m in many places – and there is something to see at every depth.
Whether it be pelagic species at depth, large sponge formations at all depths and the changing reef life as you ascend and descend, there is always something special. You can also explore two wrecks here.
On top of all that, Dark Horizon Diving can help you set up your new tech diving equipment or fine tune your equipment configuration. You can also join us for specific skills workshops. Plus, we can support projects requiring technical or safety divers.
